A new program has been introduced, allowing eligible students to receive financial assistance. To be eligible, students must be US citizens, lawfully present in the country, and have a parent who resides in the state. Applications for this program were accepted from February to March of this year.

The number of awarded applications has been reported, with over 92,000 awards given. However, this number does not reflect the total statewide amount, as some districts are not included to protect student privacy. Further information, including a breakdown by district, is available through a report released by the overseeing office.
